Talberg is a small remote place on the outermost edge of the German province. Far from the great centers and in the shadow of a huge mountain, evil seems to collect again and again over the decades. Three novels play at different times in this place. Four local families determine the action – alternately they are victims, sometimes perpetrators, sometimes investigators. And of course, all cases are connected to each other
